Scouting Report: IOL Lakeem Steele

Lakeem Steele | IOL | 2024

6’2 | 300 | Wing:  | Hand:

HS: St. Joseph’s Prep | PA

Grade: DI FCS

Steele is as dominant an interior guard prospect as you might be privileged to see next season. Even to the untrained eye, his overpowering blocks and agility jump off the film. He’s an absolute road grader in the run game.

At 6’2, 300 pounds it’s hard to believe how well he moves, executing skip pulls and lead blocking for the St. Joe’s running game. The way he combos off and gets to the second level is exceptional, not to mention how he gets out on screen passes, often downfield 15-20 yards looking to punish people in the secondary.

St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia is one of the premier programs on the east coast, traveling as far as Florida to play St. Thomas Aquinas so you know Lakeem is playing dominant football against some of the best competition in the country.

He already has Division 1 offers from teams like Lehigh, Rhode Island, LIU, and Duquesne, and we’re sure there will be more to come after a strong 2024 campaign.
