Ben had a great Freshman season for Cypress Bay High School at Right Tackle. His best attribute is his athleticism. He does a great job getting to the second level and blocking in space. Ben showed flashes of dominance in the run game where he’d burry defenders into the ground. But at 205 lbs he knew he needed to get bigger and stronger to reach his full potential.

So what did he do? He worked his tail off and showed up to Spring ball with 55 lbs of muscle added to his frame. Cypress Bay’s Spring Game was Ben’s coming out party. He was noticeable bigger and stronger. Now playing Left Tackle, his new mass allowed him to impose his will. He caught the eyes of college Coaches and picked up huge offers from Texas A&M, Western Michigan, and Bethune Cookman. Since then, Ben has put on another 10 lbs. Ben took that momentum into the summer and attended a handful of camps. One being Appalachian State, where he picked up another offer. With his new size and strength, Ben Gula is primed for a monster Sophomore season.
